No More Waiting: Fighting, Failing, and Figuring It Out

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog. If you’ve been following my social media, @cmmuaythai, you’ll know where I’ve been: staring at a phone screen, trying to figure out how to make a decent Reel.

Let me be clear—I am not a content creator. I am a fighter, a coach, and a gym owner. Talking to a camera doesn’t come naturally. But I’ve learned one thing in this game: you can’t wait for the perfect time, the perfect setup, or for some sudden talent to appear. The perfect time is now, even if you start awkwardly.

As a business owner and a fighter, being proactive isn’t a choice; it’s the only way.

Every day is a learning day. Today, I’m learning how to share my journey with you.

A big part of that journey right now is a fight. I was offered a bout in Indonesia, scheduled for April 4th. The fire was lit. The training intensified. Then, like it often does in this life, the date moved—now to May 28th.

Some might see that as a setback. I see it as more time to prepare. More time to sharpen, to condition, to strategize. The target is clearer, and the timeline is longer. Let me state this plainly:

I will win that fight. There is no doubt in my mind.

But the road to Indonesia runs through Thailand. Next week, I’m heading back to the motherland of Muay Thai to train. The goals are simple:

1. Lock in serious, focused hours in the gym to get into fight shape.

2. Capture the process—the grind, the culture, the sheer rawness of training there—to bring you all better content.

Now, here’s a thought that’s been on my mind… and any fighter who has trained in Thailand will understand this.

What if they offer me a fight while I’m there?

In Thailand, that’s how it works. The gyms are living, breathing fight camps. You might get asked to fight on the same night. The last time I was there, I experienced this chaos firsthand.

This time? If the opportunity comes… there’s a high possibility I’ll take it.

Why? Because at the end of the day, beyond the business, beyond the coaching, I fight for the fun of it. The challenge, the test, the pure joy of being in the ring—that flame still burns bright. A spontaneous fight in Thailand isn’t a distraction from my main goal; it’s part of the path. It’s another lesson.

So, that’s where my head is at. This blog is a return, a promise to share more of these thoughts and stories with you regularly. More blogs are coming.

But if reading this makes you want to do more than just read… if you want to feel that fire for yourself, to learn the art, and to be part of a gym that lives and breathes this fighter’s mindset…

Then your first move is simple.

Take your first step. Train with me.

Sign up for your trial class at Prime Fight Gym or Chana Muay Thai. That’s where the real work begins. That’s where champions are built, and where everyday people find their fight.

See you at the gym, or in the ring.
